Crusader Kings II: Charlemagne expansion shifts the strategy RPG simulation back to 769 AD for a narrative centered on Charlemagne's conquests and the rise of the Holy Roman Empire. Players explore this earlier bookmark with a special story event series tied to Charlemagne, plus an annual chronicle styled after the Saxon chronicle. New options let you form dynamic kingdoms and empires from your duchy or kingdom, complete with matching names and flags. The pack adds dozens of cultures, a fresh climate and seasonal system, and a regency overhaul to deepen medieval thrones and schemes. Strategy fans who master Paradox's detailed simulations will find extended playtime through these historical layers and narrative events.

Crusader Kings II: Charlemagne is the seventh expansion for the much praised strategy/RPG Crusader Kings II and introduces the gamer to an absorbing story of conquests of Charlemagne.

This expansion moves the game back almost a 100 years to 769 AD and will offer a unique new story driven narrative about the rise of Charlemagne and The Holy Roman Empire. It’s more of what you’ve come to know and love from Paradox Development Studios.
