Here is how to redeem a Nintendo Switch download code on the eShop or straight from your console.

Sign in to the eShop
On your Nintendo Switch, open the Nintendo eShop and pick the account you want the game on. You can also sign in to the eShop on the Nintendo website.

Open Enter Code
On the console, select Enter Code from the menu on the left. On the website, scroll to the Redeem Code section.

Enter your 16-character code
Type in the code exactly as shown.

Confirm
Select Confirm to add the game to your account. It will start downloading to your Switch.
What is a Nintendo code?
A 16-character download code that adds a game or content to your Nintendo Account. Once redeemed it downloads to your Switch and is linked to your account.
Where do I find my code?
Look at the order confirmation and the email from the store you bought it from. It is often saved in your store account too.
Code not working?
- Make sure all 16 characters are entered correctly.
- Watch the lookalikes: 0 vs O, 1 vs I, 8 vs B.
- Some codes are region-specific, so check it matches your account region.
