Pilot your spaceship through 18 progressive levels in this vertical scrolling shooter. Collect lasers, homing missiles, and other weapons to build an arsenal and take down bosses from the XIDUS empire. The remastered version runs at 60 or 120fps with graphic improvements and controller support on PC. New Legacy Mode and Enhanced Mode refresh the classic indie action, alongside tate mode for vertical monitors. Explosive sound effects pair with the original or new soundtrack. After many long years, Scott Host, the creator of Galactix and Raptor Call of the Shadows, has remastered his shareware legend DemonStar - and now it comes soaring back with new game modes and revised gameplay. Originally published in 1997 and later earning the COMPUTER GAMING WORLD's "Shareware Game of the Year 1999" award, DemonStar was and still is considered by fans as one of the best 2D space shooters on PC.
