Planet Zoo: Europe Pack is a DLC expansion for the zoo management simulation game Planet Zoo on PC. It introduces five new European animal species along with extensive building options and a dedicated scenario to expand zoo designs with regional themes.
Gameplay
Players construct habitats, manage animal welfare, and handle zoo operations including guest satisfaction and financial planning. The Europe Pack integrates directly into these systems by adding animals that require specific care routines and enrichment items. Alpine ibex use climbing structures to demonstrate natural behaviors, while Eurasian lynx interact with scratching surfaces. European fallow deer and Alpine ibex access specialized feeders, and European badgers benefit from underground shelter options that can be viewed through cameras. The fire salamander serves as an exhibit animal with its own containment needs. Over 250 new scenery pieces support detailed European-inspired builds, including bridges, foliage such as London plane trees and grape vines, and seasonal decorations for winter markets or festive villages.
Game Modes
Planet Zoo offers Career mode for narrative-driven progression through objectives across multiple locations, Sandbox mode for unrestricted creative building with unlimited resources, Franchise mode for connecting multiple zoos with online animal trading, and Challenge mode for offline economic management with set goals. The Europe Pack adds a new timed scenario called It's Just A Matter of Time. This scenario places players at a snowy alpine mountain site divided into zones themed around Italy, France, and Switzerland. The objective focuses on introducing diverse species before a holiday deadline while expanding into the themed regions to create a cohesive European experience for guests.
Animal and Building Additions
The five new species consist of four habitat animals and one exhibit animal. Each comes with tailored needs that fit existing management tools, such as terrain adjustments and feeding schedules. Three new enrichment items accompany the animals but remain compatible with prior species in the game. Scenery expansions emphasize European architecture and nature, enabling ornate water crossings, native plantings, and medieval-style signage. Holiday-themed elements allow for temporary festive setups that enhance visual appeal during specific in-game periods.
Is It Worth Playing?
The Europe Pack appeals to players focused on detailed zoo construction and European wildlife themes. It provides practical additions for habitat customization and scenario challenges that test management timing and regional expansion. Feedback highlights the scenery volume and animal variety as strong points for creative players. Those who enjoy building intricate environments and handling animal-specific behaviors will find value in the new options, while the scenario offers a structured alternative to open-ended modes. The pack functions as an optional expansion within the broader Planet Zoo experience, best suited for users who have already engaged with the core simulation systems.
