About One More Band

One More Band - about the game

One More Band is an indie casual incremental game for PC in which players build an enormous rubber band ball through precise, hands-on wrapping mechanics. The experience centers on tactile interactions that reward timing and spatial awareness as the ball expands from a small desk project into a massive structure spanning multiple environments.

Gameplay

The core loop involves selecting individual rubber bands, stretching them over the growing ball, and releasing them at the right moment to secure a clean wrap. A moving perfect release zone shifts position with each placement, testing player control and encouraging careful observation of the band's movement. Overstretching risks breakage, while precise timing improves the overall shape and efficiency of production.

As the ball enlarges, placement angles become critical. Repeating identical angles creates uneven ridges that slow progress, so players must cross wraps and target thinner sections to maintain roundness. This shape management directly influences how efficiently new bands contribute to growth. The game includes 15 distinct band types, each with unique properties such as greater stretch tolerance, shape correction, or bonuses that charge machines and accelerate output.

Progression incorporates 40 upgrades spread across four connected branches. These enhance grip strength, wrap value, supply speed, and introduce automated wrapping machines along with scanners and calibration tools. Players adjust machine settings to handle larger builds while maintaining control through increasingly complex stages.

Game Modes

The primary experience follows a campaign structure. Each stage sets specific size and roundness targets that must be met before advancing. The campaign concludes with a final perfect wrap challenge that serves as the ending sequence.

After completing the campaign, World Record mode becomes available. This mode lets players return to previous stages or continue building indefinitely while tracking and improving personal records for ball size and roundness. Automatic saving preserves progress across sessions, and options for interface adjustments, audio levels, and reduced motion support accessibility throughout both modes.

Environments and Progression

The game expands across nine distinct environments that reflect the ball's growth: the desk, workshop, garage, warehouse, factory floor, industrial yard, mega facility, launch complex, and orbit. Each new setting introduces larger scale and additional mechanical layers while retaining the same core wrapping mechanics.

Collection elements such as Sphere Streak maintenance and Band Storm activation provide bursts of accelerated production. These systems encourage experimentation with different band combinations and upgrade paths to optimize long-term growth.

Is It Worth Playing?

One More Band suits players who enjoy deliberate, tactile incremental gameplay with a focus on manual skill rather than passive automation. The single-player campaign offers a structured path through nine environments and a clear ending, while World Record mode provides ongoing personal challenges for those who want to refine their technique after the main experience.

Features like adjustable controls, audio options, and reduced-motion settings broaden its appeal for casual sessions. Since the game remains in development with a coming-soon release date and no player reviews available yet, interested players should monitor updates from the developer for the final launch details. Those drawn to precise timing mechanics, shape management, and steady progression in a relaxed workshop setting will likely find the described systems engaging once it becomes available.
