About Everstead: Origins

Everstead: Origins - about the game

About the Game

Everstead: Origins is a unique idle simulation experience that allows you to watch a self-sustaining village evolve over time. Without direct control, you observe the settlers’ daily routines, social bonds, and the consequences of their decisions in a fully autonomous world.

Settlers

Every settler is unique — with individual traits, preferences, and organic routines. They wake, work, rest, socialize, and even form relationships or rivalries. Needs such as hunger, thirst, energy, and social fulfillment dynamically shape their mood and behavior. Settlers gain and lose weight, form families, and react to the environment around them.

Buildings

Structures in Everstead: Origins naturally age over time. As they decay, settlers will attempt repairs or eventually rebuild them from scratch. You don’t place buildings manually — instead, your settlement makes these decisions based on needs and available resources. All construction, maintenance, and even demolitions happen autonomously.

Nature

Immerse yourself in a stylized world filled with natural diversity. Different landscapes offer varied resources and opportunities. The ecosystem includes wild animals, diverse tree and plant species, and fully simulated fishing zones. Over 20 fish species can be caught based on the type of water body — from streams to lakes — each with distinct size and weight variations.

Weather & Time

Experience the passage of time with a dynamic calendar system, full day-night cycles, and seasonal changes. Weather impacts settler behavior and needs, adding layers of complexity to their lives. From rain that dampens moods to cold seasons requiring shelter, nature is more than just a backdrop.

Jobs & Economy

Your settlers will take on a variety of professions — from foresters, stonecutters, and hunters to bakers, innkeepers, and musicians. As your village grows, new roles will naturally emerge. All job assignments are based on a settler’s aptitude and interests — no micromanagement required.

Trade & Visitors

Once your settlement constructs a harbor, merchants from distant lands may begin arriving by ship. These traders bring unique goods and stories, offering valuable resources in exchange for your own surpluses. Over time, the trading system grows deeper — affecting economy, availability of rare items, and even cultural exchanges that shape your village’s development.
