Ukrainian Modification of the ED4M Electric Train

This add-on brings a highly detailed model of the ED4M electric train, adapted for operation on the Ukrainian railway network, into the simulator. With a realistic 3D model, accurate textures, and a faithfully recreated interior and driver's cab, this DLC aims to replicate the real-life experience of operating this iconic suburban train.

History & Production

The ED4M is a modernized direct current electric multiple unit (EMU), developed by the Demikhovo Engineering Plant (Russia) based on the earlier ER2 and ED2T series. Production began in 1996.

Key features of the ED4M series:

  • Updated driver’s cab

  • Improved ventilation

  • Reconfigured passenger saloons

In Ukraine, some ED4M trainsets were transferred after the collapse of the USSR or later purchased by Ukrzaliznytsia. A number of units underwent local modernization.
