Violet is called upon to investigate one of the Outer City's most dangerous street races alongside a new partner, but her double life threatens to unravel as the deadline to seal away her peculiar powers closes in. Forced to confront the nature and origin of her abilities, she is only faced with more questions - about her past, and her connection to the Dark One.
