Night City is bleeding into the Apex Games, and yeah, we're a little giddy about it.
EA, Respawn and CD Projekt Red just pulled the wraps off an Apex Legends x Cyberpunk 2077 crossover, and this isn't some quiet little cosmetic bundle. It's a proper Night City takeover, live from July 14 all the way through August 4. Three weeks of neon, chrome, and one very rude smart gun. If you bounced off Apex a while back, this might be the excuse to reinstall.
Two worlds feed into it, too. There's the base
The E-District turns into Night City
The big set piece is the E-District, reskinned into a slice of Night City. Neon skyboxes, corpo billboards slapped on every wall, holographic koi drifting overhead. It's the kind of glow-up that makes you stop mid-fight to gawk (and then get third-partied, because it's still Apex). Respawn loves a themed map takeover, and on paper this one fits the setting like a glove.
Eight Legends get chromed up
Eight Legend skins split the roster across both properties. From Edgerunners, Lucy, David and Rebecca land on Axle, Sparrow and Rampart. From 2077, Female V, Male V, Panam, Lizzy Wizzy and Royce map onto Lifeline, Crypto, Loba, Ash and Gibraltar. Some of those pairings are inspired. Some are just... a choice. You can decide which is which.
New cyberware and a gun that won't shut up
Gameplay gets two new Cyberware mods for the run. Sandevistan lets you dash in any direction while your shields recharge, very Edgerunners. Blackwall Breach phases you into the Net to reposition, then drops an EMP that cracks enemy shields and pings their location. That second one sounds genuinely nasty in the right hands.
And then there's Skippy. The mouthy smart pistol from 2077 shows up as a Mythic skin for the Alternator, complete with its "Puppy Loving Pacifist" and "Stone Cold Killer" modes, plus brand new voice lines. Yes, it will absolutely narrate your kills and call you a monster. We wouldn't have it any other way.
