About RabbitDice

RabbitDice - about the game

RabbitDice is an indie game for PC that combines card management, sticker customization, and physics-driven dice rolls into a system-building experience centered on a growing rabbit civilization.

Gameplay

The core loop begins with basic resources and a single unemployed rabbit. Players open card packs to acquire resource cards and function cards, then apply tool stickers to assign jobs to rabbits. Connecting these elements creates production chains where a dice roll triggers actions like chopping wood to fuel a campfire and generate coins.

As the setup expands, every card on the table can link into a larger network. Resource stacks such as hay or firewood store materials for bigger payouts, while items like carrot soup restore tired rabbits and hot springs maintain colony satisfaction. Stone wind chimes transmit signals between cards, allowing one roll to activate multiple components simultaneously.

Stickers provide the main customization layer. Tool stickers evolve rabbits into stronger professions when applied repeatedly, and trait stickers add stackable effects like strength or luck. Number stickers alter trigger conditions on any card type. Players merge matching resource cards for greater capacity and combine identical function cards to create upgraded versions that handle more connections and larger rewards.

Dice mechanics remain central throughout. The game uses fully physics-simulated rolls, starting with one die and scaling to six as the civilization advances. Combinations such as pairs or straights multiply network output, while task rewards grant temporary buffs that amplify the entire system. Rebuilding the table layout determines which numbers hit most often and how efficiently signals propagate.

Game Modes

The primary experience follows a journey across six Ages. Each Age introduces a new major mechanic that integrates with existing cards and connections, allowing older elements to retain value or gain fresh applications through combinations with later technology.

Progression relies on task cards that players select and complete for rewards including gold, additional packs, or powerful buffs. Tasks range from straightforward resource collection to complex challenges that require precise network understanding, such as triggering every number from one to six in sequence or generating eight successful actions from a single roll.

Rebirth offers an optional reset at any point. Gold converts into permanent Embers spent on upgrades that carry over to new runs, without any forced timers or offline progression. Completing the full Age sequence unlocks Endless Mode, where players continue building without the structured goals of the main journey.

Progression and Systems

Growth emphasizes both scale and intelligence in the production network. Early decisions focus on immediate resource gathering, while later stages shift toward optimizing connections so the system performs complex sequences with minimal input. Function cards automate routine tasks, freeing attention for higher-level planning around dice outcomes and task selection.

Card packs provide ongoing variety, and the ability to peel, move, and reuse stickers encourages experimentation. Merging creates more efficient hubs that support additional rabbits and resources, turning scattered chains into cohesive industrial setups capable of explosive multi-action turns.

Is It Worth Playing?

RabbitDice targets players who enjoy deliberate system-building and incremental optimization without idle mechanics or timers. The absence of offline rewards means every session involves active planning, sticker placement, network adjustments, and dice resolution in one continuous turn.

Those drawn to card-driven automation games with physical dice elements and long-term progression through distinct Ages will find the described mechanics align closely with that preference. The game remains in development with a planned release in Q4 2026, so final balance and additional features await confirmation closer to launch.
