FLICK is a first-person psychological horror game that toys with your anticipation and weaponizes your dread. In a shifting modern-day home where light is both the only way forward and the greatest threat, you must retrace the desperate escape of your family from years ago through shifting realities to survive the night.
STORYLINE
The truth of this house has stained its walls. Search through the remnants of your own family's frantic flight years ago and unearth the sickening history of those who resided here long before you. Every boarded up door and blood-soaked room is a piece of a much larger, more sinister puzzle.
GAMEPLAY
Progress by flicking each room's light switches on and off . Toggling the lights alters the state of the room, shifting from a safe, clean reality to a horrific echo where keys, tools, and hidden paths manifest. But progress requires sacrifice...
FLICK thrives on the dread of anticipation, like the terrifying buildup of a jack-in-the-box. You'll be forced to perform actions you know will provoke a violent reaction. Plunge your hands into the grotesque, reach into the dark, touch the things you know shouldn't, yet must. You'll know terror is coming, but that knowledge won't help you.
ENVIRONMENT
Explore an oppressive home that serves as a physical record of past tragedies. What appears as a quiet, abandoned hallway in the dark twists into a gruesome tableau of atrocities the moment you flick the light switch. Wander through these fractured realities and sift through the blood and madness of the past to find a way out of the present.
THE ENTITY
Something twisted is hunting you through the house, following the echo of your footsteps and the memories unearthed by the lights. However, you need the light to progress, making every flick of the switch a gamble that might summon the very terror trying to tear you apart.
MICROPHONE RECOMMENDED TO PLAY FLICK uses real-world microphone input to track your presence, and the Entity is always listening. Calibrate your mic in-game, control your breathing, and whatever you do, don't let it hear you scream.
You will love this game. But you will not enjoy this game.
