About Bloodlust & Harmony

Bloodlust & Harmony - about the game

Bloodlust & Harmony is a Castle Fight-style auto-battler that places strategy at the center of every decision. Players build structures to generate waves of units that march automatically toward enemy castles, with victory going to the last standing fortress. The game runs on PC and blends elements of strategy, indie, and casual genres through its focus on build order and counterplay rather than direct unit control.

Gameplay

The core loop revolves around spending gold on buildings that add soldiers to periodic waves. Every ten gold invested also increases income, creating a compounding economy that rewards thoughtful early choices for stronger late-game armies. Waves advance every minute, giving players time to observe enemy compositions and adjust their own structures accordingly. No unit micro or high actions-per-minute demands appear in the design, shifting emphasis to reading matchups and selecting counters.

Combat depth comes from layered systems including attack types, armor types, seven damage elements, immunities, stuns, auras, and stealth mechanics. Identical armies rarely trade evenly because these factors create clear advantages and disadvantages. Successful play requires scouting the opponent's massed units and responding with the right buildings before waves clash.

Game Modes

Regular mode delivers the standard Castle Fight experience of building, countering, and advancing on the enemy castle. Ultimate mode assigns every participant the same faction but deals each a random set of thirteen buildings, forcing adaptation to the given options. Draft mode lets players ban one building before a snake draft from a shared pool, allowing denial of key synergies. Poker mode supports up to nine players in a free-for-all format where hidden armies are revealed gradually alongside chip bets. Sandbox mode permits spawning any units on either side for matchup testing or unstructured battles.

Additional options include co-op teams for two-versus-two or three-versus-three play, ranked one-versus-one queues, free-for-all lobbies, and fully customizable games that support adjustments to teams, lanes, and fog of war. All modes function online with others or solo against AI opponents.

Factions and Progression

Five factions currently populate the roster: the disciplined Exemplaris, the arcane Arcanists, the wild Grovewardens, the undead Graveborn, and the brutal Warclans. More factions are planned. These groups together provide over 140 units along with deep upgrade trees, faction-specific research options, and shops. Each faction plays distinctly, and Ultimate and Draft modes further expand variety by reshuffling buildings into new combinations.

Is It Worth Playing?

The game remains in active alpha, where testing participants influence balance, faction development, and feature priorities. It suits players who enjoy strategic auto-battlers inspired by Castle Fight, Direct Strike, Colonial Line Wars, Legion TD 2, Mechabellum, and classic Warcraft III maps. Those seeking games without intensive unit control or who prefer counter-based decision making will find the systems align with that preference. Co-op and competitive modes support both solo and group play, while the alpha state allows direct input on future direction through wishlist and community channels.
