About Attrition Line

Attrition Line - about the game

You're defending against a swarm that never stops coming. There are too many of them to fight by hand, so you build a factory that makes your soldiers for you. In Attrition Line, your production line and your army are the same thing. The machines you set up decide how many troops you can put on the field, and the enemy is getting stronger the whole time you build.

Turn raw materials into soldiers

Everything on the battlefield starts as ore. You dig up iron, copper, and stone, run it through furnaces and assemblers, and finished troops roll out the other end and march to the fight. Want a bigger army? Build a bigger factory. Nothing is handed to you, and there's no shortcut around the production. If you can make it, you can field it.

Build the whole operation

You lay out everything yourself: mining drills, conveyor belts, furnaces, and assemblers, all running on a power grid you put together from solar, wind, and steam. As you research new technology you unlock better machines, faster lines, and stronger troops. The research never runs dry, so there's always a next upgrade to chase when you want to push your base further than it's ever gone.

Fight a battle you can actually see

The fighting happens right next to your base, and it's huge. A few hundred of your soldiers run into thousands of the enemy in one giant crowd that shoves and spills across the ground. You don't babysit units one at a time. You choose where your army holds, how it lines up, and, most of all, what you keep sending it. When your troops take a hit they push back and charge on their own. You can keep an eye on the fight while you work on the factory, so you always know when the line is about to give.

Bring the right army

Different units are good at different things. Heavy troops soak hits at the front, fast ones swing around the sides, and ranged units shoot from behind them. When the enemy shows up with something your line can't handle, you have answers: poison that eats through armor, units that slow the swarm to a crawl, and support troops that heal your soldiers and strip the poison back off them. The enemy keeps adding new kinds too, so an army that held an hour ago might fold now.

It never settles down

The swarm grows the entire time you play. The longer you last, the more of them arrive and the nastier they get, until there are tens of thousands of them coming at you. Kill them faster than they show up and you actually speed the whole thing along, so the difficulty rises to meet how well you're playing. It never turns into the same fight on repeat.

Design once, build fast

Once you've got a layout you like, you can copy it and drop it down again anywhere, flip it to fit the space, and tell your construction drones which jobs to build first. Good ideas spread across your base as fast as you can point at where they go.

Set up the factory, get the army moving, and see how long you can hold.
