Enamelist is a casual simulation game centered on restoring order to a pin museum after a playful cat disrupts the collection. Players step into the role of a dedicated curator tasked with reorganizing thousands of enamel pins into their proper themed sets across various display boards.
Gameplay
The core loop involves examining individual pins and determining their correct placement within larger themed collections. Each pin features distinctive artwork rendered with metallic finishes such as silver, rainbow, rose gold, gold, and gunmetal, often enhanced by special effects like sparkles. Sets vary in size from smaller groups of four pins up to larger assemblies of thirty, covering motifs that include dragons and geese wearing hats.
Exploration forms a key part of the experience as players move through the museum space to locate the appropriate boards for each set. Stained glass windows provide visual clues that guide the matching process. A Pin Index book serves as a reference tool for reviewing the full collection and tracking progress toward completion. The activity emphasizes careful observation and logical deduction rather than time pressure or combat elements.
Game Modes
Enamelist operates exclusively as a single-player simulation. There are no competitive, cooperative, or multiplayer options available. The entire experience revolves around the solitary task of tidying and categorizing the pin collection at the player's own pace.
Visuals and Presentation
Each enamel pin receives unique artwork that highlights metal effects and decorative details. The museum environment encourages close inspection of boards and windows to match sets accurately. The Pin Index book offers a structured way to catalog discoveries and maintain an overview of the collection's status.
Is It Worth Playing?
Enamelist suits players who enjoy relaxed, methodical simulation experiences focused on organization and collection management.
