How to Activate an Epic Games Key

Got an Epic Games key? Here is how to redeem it in the Epic Games Launcher and start downloading in a couple of minutes.

Open the Epic Games Launcher
Launch the Epic Games Launcher on your PC and sign in. If you do not have it yet, grab it from epicgames.com and create a free account.

Open the redeem screen
Click your account name or profile icon in the bottom-left corner, then pick Redeem Code.

Enter your code
Type or paste the code into the box. Epic codes are usually 20 characters long.

Confirm and redeem
Click Redeem. The game lands in your Library, ready to install.
What is an Epic Games key?
It is a one-time code that adds a game to your Epic Games account. Once redeemed it stays in your Library for good, just like a purchase made directly on the store.
Where do I find my code?
If you bought the game from one of the stores we compare, the code is usually on the order confirmation page and in the email you got after buying. Some stores also keep it in your account under order history.
Code not working?
- Retype it by hand instead of pasting, it is easy to copy an extra space.
- Watch out for lookalikes: 0 (zero) vs O, 1 vs capital I, 8 vs B.
- Check the region. Some codes only activate on accounts from a specific region.
