A Virus has infected the O.S.!
Foldy is a carefree file folder, living blissfully on the Digital Desktop of his operating system, Doorways XD. Though he contains anti-virus software inside of him, Foldy's days are largely spent soaking up the warm sun and blue skies of XD Hills and playing games with his fellow Folder friends. Unfortunately for him, however, the operator on the outside of his digital domain isn't the brightest browser on the web.
One fateful day, a harmless pop-up ad clicked by this user turns out to be a Trojan horse, inviting the Mother of all Malware into Foldy's world! Her Virus Bytes begin to wreak havoc throughout the system, attacking Foldy's friends and scattering their Files across the hard drive to places never before accessed! Worst of all, Mother Malware herself is targeting the Firewall, the last line of defense standing between Foldy's world and total corruption!
Luckily, Foldy is saved from their invasion by a strange, mouse-like creature named... Mouse! With his help, Foldy can unlock his true potential as an anti-virus program to save the other Folders and their home. And so, alongside his new companion, Foldy springs into action to restore his friends, kick the Virus to the curb, and stop the destruction of the Firewall!
A digital world to explore and master!
Explore seven themed areas, each one based around a unique corner of Foldy's digital world, from desktop games to social media, and even down into the darkest depths of the Recycle Bin!
Between these main stages lies Vaporwave Valley, a land of challenges that serve as the ultimate test of your platforming chops. The Bonus stages found here can be accessed through hyperlinks offered by Folders for collecting all 100 of their missing Files within a stage.
Completing these Bonuses will unlock Software Upgrades in the form of additional abilities for Foldy, allowing you to tackle past and future levels in brand new ways!
Foldy's got the moves to save the day!
Run, jump, zip, surf and stomp your way through levels inspired by the magical world of personal computing! You'll encounter many environments, enemies and obstacles on your quest, and using Foldy's moveset to your advantage will be the key to success!
Casual players can enjoy a core experience built for players of all backgrounds and skill levels.
If you're looking to push yourself, however, hardcore platforming fans can dive into Time Trial mode after beating a level for the first time! Race against the clock as you use your knowledge of the level's layout to reach the end in one go as fast as possible, with no checkpoints to save you from your mistakes!
For those brave enough to take on the challenges of Vaporwave Valley, the new permanent abilities unlocked through the Bonus stages will certainly aid in bringing your Best Times in Time Trial Mode down as low as possible!
