About Whispers of the village

Whispers of the village - about the game

Whispers of the Village is an investigation game where you play as a fortune teller. As you enter a small village, you are overwhelmed by a terrible vision of the village ravaged by flames. Thanks to your divination skills, which tells you the future through tea leaves, you'll find clues in empty cups that will help you understand how the disaster will happen.

Atypical and captivating characters:

Meet four villagers who come to your caravan every day to talk and drink tea. The four days leading to the disaster will lead you to grow closer to them, and discover more of their stories, personalities and secrets...

Play as a tasseomancer :

You will have to find clues in the villagers' tea leaves through a series of shape matches. Each shape has its own meaning, and each combination and positioning of shapes must be interpreted to understand what is happening and will happen in the village.

Take notes:

In your trusty notebook, you can record information obtained from your discussions with your visitors. This could be about their work, their relationships, or the predictions you've made for them.

And solve the investigation:

Use stamps depicting the four villagers, as well as actions and objects. Place these stamps on drawings representing the different places in your vision to create sentences explaining the events to come. Once you've matched the right stamps with the right drawings, and put the drawings back into chronological order, the mystery surrounding the disaster will be solved.
