For over 200 years, Oak Island has fascinated treasure hunters, historians, and conspiracy theorists alike.
The legend begins in 1795, when three young men discover a mysterious, man-made sinkhole on the island. Their excavations uncover layer upon layer of strange clues – wooden platforms, scorched coconut fibers, and a carved stone bearing strange symbols resembling hieroglyphs.
This marks the birth of the infamous "Money Pit" – a shaft that turns out to be a deadly trap. Every attempt to drain it ends in floods or tragedy. Over the centuries, millions have been spent trying to uncover its secret.
What lies beneath?
A Templar treasure? Shakespeare’s lost manuscripts? A pirate hoard?
No theory has ever been proven. And yet, the curse of Oak Island continues – said to demand seven lives before the mystery may be solved...
Jamie Watson
Jamie is a reporter – or was, before sarcasm and too many uncomfortable questions made him unwelcome in the newsroom.
