In a Late Middle Ages realm ravaged by alien invaders, a young girl named Mencia becomes the unlikely savior, guided by Pinchur, the kingdom's protective magic sword. This rogue-like 2D platformer thrusts her through four perilous levels filled with traps and hostile aliens aiming to square everything in sight. Players wield simple controls-jump, attack, throw the sword, and teleport to it-mastering their swift combinations to survive.
Death as a square means restarting from the beginning, ramping up the challenge in this indie adventure. Keyboard, mouse, or controller support keeps the focus on precise, high-speed maneuvers. Hardcore platformer fans who relish punishing rogue-like restarts will find their test here.

This game tells us about Mencia's story, as well as Pinchur. In the Late Middle Age, Pinchur, the protective magic sword of the reign, searchs desperately for a brave and strong man who is capable of facing a long lasting battle againts an alien invasion which have destroyed everything that were on their way. The only person alive in the whole reign is Mencia, a little girl who spends her time in taking care of animals and harvesting the crops, she is the chosen one, by process of elimination, like the saviour of the reign.
Guided by the magic sword, not by own will, Mencia will have to make her way through 4 levels, helped by the teletransportation power of the sword, facing all kind of different traps and aliens who have the intention of turning everything in front of them into squares until reaching their leader. Also "squared", of course.

You will be able to play "Mencia: A never was tale" with not only keyboard and mouse, but controller as well. The controls are simple, jump, attack, throw the sword and teleport next to it, but the speedness and need to combine these movements will make this game a challenge out of it.
