About Frontier Governor

Frontier Governor - about the game

“Frontier Governor” is a city-building game set in 15th-century Korean history. Joseon, a new dynasty that dominated the Korean Peninsula during this time, was actively pioneering the northern territory. This region was known for its harsh natural environment and frequent attacks by Jurchen tribes, making it a challenging and unstable territory. As the local governor tasked with pioneering this region, you must overcome various obstacles and successfully manage the frontier.
Subdivided City Growth
“Frontier Governor” city is divided into seven grades based on historical evidence. As an official dispatched by the royal court, try to complete the evaluation and develop the city. As the city grows, you will receive additional benefits that can be utilized.
Additionally, the city has four distinct tendencies: Agriculture, Military, Commerce, and Academic. Depending on your preferred play style, your scores for each tendency will accumulate, unlocking unique technologies and policies specific to that tendency.
Various Environment
Lush forests, winding rivers, towering mountains, day and night, and the four seasons - the ever-changing nature of the “Frontier Governor” dictates the actions of its residents. They work during the day, rest in the evening, and sleep at night. They tend to their crops according to the season, cut down trees from forests, and get fish and agricultural water from rivers. However, nature is not always bountiful. Droughts, floods, and heavy snow can bring about harsh conditions. Always prepare, manage, and utilize a capricious nature.
Settler Management
In the 15th century, Joseon was a society with social classes. The residents are divided into four distinct categories: Servants, Commoners, Gentry, and Nobles. Each class holds its own specific set of roles and responsibilities. Adjust the population of each status and control them as needed.
The residents trade what they want using their property. Help residents live comfortably on the rough frontier by providing them with arable land, improving their houses, and building necessary facilities. Of course, it is important to properly collect taxes and labor from your residents too.
Military Activities
The northern frontier is a dangerous region, plagued by bandits, Jurchen tribes seeking to pillage the city, and even disgruntled members of the inner circle… In order to protect the town, it is crucial to consider military strength. Mobilize commoners to serve as soldiers, invest in technology to supply high-quality weapons and armor, and strategically construct military structures to defend against invaders.
