Nitro raises the size limit on files you send, improves the quality of screen sharing and camera streams, lets you use your own emoji and stickers across every server, and expands your profile. The full tier adds server upgrades you can assign to communities of your choice. All of this concerns communication rather than playing, so comparing it with a games subscription makes little sense.

We worked out the per month rate for every variant and something surprising came out: the annual card is cheapest, but right behind it sits the monthly card, while the two, three and six month denominations are clearly dearer per month. The reason is the number of stores: the annual and the monthly are carried by the most, the middle ones by only two or three. Check the rate per 1 month before buying, because this ordering shifts along with the offers.

Trial variants also circulate, priced at a fraction of the normal rate. Their catch is always the same: they work on accounts that have never had Nitro, and on an account with subscription history they simply will not activate. If you are buying for yourself and have used it before, take an ordinary code. If you are buying a gift for someone who has never had Nitro, a trial variant is often the cheapest way to let someone try the service.
