Ubisoft Connect is Ubisoft's unified gaming platform, launched in October 2020 by merging Uplay and Ubisoft Club. It serves as a launcher, store, and social hub for all Ubisoft games on PC. The platform features cross-platform progression, a rewards system where you earn points from in-game achievements, and social features for connecting with other players. Popular franchises available through Ubisoft Connect include Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six, Watch Dogs, The Crew, and Anno series.

XD.deals compares Ubisoft Connect key prices from the Ubisoft Store, Steam (many Ubisoft games are also on Steam), and authorized keyshops. Third-party retailers frequently sell Ubisoft keys at lower prices than the official store, especially outside of sale periods. Use the price history chart on game pages to check if the current price is near its historical low. Set up price alerts on titles you want to track. For the broadest view of PC game deals, check our main deals page.

Historically, yes. Ubisoft games bought on Steam required Ubisoft Connect to run in the background, meaning you needed both launchers. However, Ubisoft has been transitioning newer titles to work natively through Steam without requiring the Ubisoft Connect launcher. Check individual game pages to see the current requirements. If you prefer to avoid dual-launcher setups, buying directly through the Ubisoft Store or using a Ubisoft Connect key eliminates the Steam layer entirely.

Ubisoft runs regular sales through its own store and participates in major Steam sales. The Ubisoft Store typically has seasonal sales aligned with the gaming calendar: Spring, Summer, Black Friday and Holiday sales. Ubisoft also runs frequent publisher-specific promotions on Steam where their entire catalog receives significant discounts. These events often coincide with new game launches or franchise anniversaries. Check our best deals page during sale periods for the top-rated Ubisoft offers.

Open Ubisoft Connect on your PC. Click on the hamburger menu (three lines) in the top left corner and select "Activate a key". Enter your product code and the game will be added to your library. If you do not have Ubisoft Connect installed, download it from ubisoft.com. Keys from authorized retailers listed on XD.deals activate identically to keys purchased directly from the Ubisoft Store. The process takes just a few seconds.

Ubisoft Connect features a built-in rewards system. You earn Units (points) by completing specific challenges and achievements within Ubisoft games. These Units can be redeemed for in-game items, cosmetics, wallpapers, and occasionally small discounts on purchases. The system works across all Ubisoft titles and carries over between games. While the rewards are modest, they add value for players who regularly buy Ubisoft games. For the best prices on Ubisoft titles regardless of rewards, compare deals across all stores on XD.deals.
