About Trash Party

Trash Party - about the game

Trash Party is an action, indie, casual co-op party game set in a bright cartoon city where players form a garbage collection crew. Up to four players work together to clear neighborhoods of waste using a single truck that anyone can drive while others collect and load bags on the move.

Gameplay

The core loop centers on chaotic teamwork and cartoon physics. The truck begins parked on the street and travels freely wherever the driver chooses, with no preset routes or stops. Collectors race between trash piles, grab bags, and toss them toward the moving vehicle. A mistimed jump into traffic results in a quick knockdown that sends the player back to their feet moments later for more slapstick action.

Each bag must land in one of the truck's three compartments labeled recyclable, organic, or glass. Correct placement earns full points and extends the level timer, while heavy items provide extra time bonuses. Oversized objects such as sofas, refrigerators, tires, and mattresses require processing through a crusher that compacts them into color-coded cubes ready for throwing.

Collection zones appear on the minimap and vanish once cleared, leaving those areas permanently clean. The level concludes only when every zone is spotless, and completion speed determines the star rating earned.

Game Modes

Trash Party supports online co-op for as many as four players through invite-code rooms that let friends join easily. The same experience remains fully playable solo, allowing one person to handle both driving and collection duties across the open routes.

Progression occurs through a world map hub where stars from completed levels unlock new neighborhoods. Faster cleanups yield higher star counts, encouraging repeated runs to improve times and access further content.

Key Mechanics and Features

Sorting adds a light layer of strategy to the frantic collection. Players must identify bag types quickly while the truck keeps moving, rewarding accurate throws with time extensions that help the crew finish larger areas. The crusher mechanic turns bulky junk into manageable projectiles, keeping the action flowing without bottlenecks.

Physics play a constant role. Thrown bags arc realistically, hanging from the rear bumper slows movement, and flailing limbs during jumps create comedic moments. Knockdowns reset instantly, maintaining the lighthearted pace without frustration.

Visuals feature colorful low-poly 3D models with cel shading that emphasize the cartoon style. The minimap and zone markers keep navigation clear even during high-speed chases between piles.

Is It Worth Playing?

Trash Party suits players who enjoy casual co-op experiences built around teamwork, light strategy, and slapstick physics rather than intense competition or complex systems. The free-form truck routes and sorting requirement create repeatable sessions where groups can experiment with roles and improve coordination over multiple neighborhoods.

Solo play offers the same core loop for those who prefer independent runs, while the star-based progression on the world map provides a clear sense of advancement without overwhelming structure. The game emphasizes short, focused levels that reward quick thinking and accurate throws more than long campaigns or seasonal events.

Anyone drawn to party-style action games with simple controls, humorous mishaps, and cooperative goals will find consistent entertainment in cleaning the city one neighborhood at a time.
