Mutant Gate - about the game

Dr. Green awakens from a decade in cryoprison on an Earth colony overrun by mutants, former humans twisted by unknown forces. He seeks atonement for his past while searching for his estranged daughter Anna amid the ruins. Intense combat fills his path, alongside meetings with survivors and bursts of adventure. This indie action-adventure game delivers a 4-hour campaign in 2D, Doom-style levels packed with scripted sequences. Built on a custom ASCII engine, it offers hybrid ASCII/tile visuals and auto-detects Steam Deck controls. Fans of retro free-to-play shooters with focused campaigns will find a tight experience here.
