About Lost Temple Treasure

Lost Temple Treasure - about the game
Play as a robot archaeologist hunting lost treasures in procedurally generated dungeons. Fire your bullet time laser and master third-person platforming to battle monsters like alien warriors and lava slugs, while solving puzzles and using environmental hazards to crush foes. Traverse seven temple floors, secret caves with invincible enemies, and a brutal boss on floor 15 to fill your museum with crystals, stat boosts, and artifacts. Unlock replayable challenges post-game, including B-Side with buffed enemies and darkness, God Mode permadeath with time limits, and Wave Mode's 30 enemy waves. Hunt dozens of trophies through special puzzles and mode completions for 100% progress. This indie action adventure suits platformer fans who crave tough, collect-heavy runs with dynamic combat twists.

Play as a robot archaeologist in search of lost treasures. Use your bullet time laser and platforming abilities to explore dungeons, fight monsters, and collect treasure to complete the museum. Use hazards in the environment to your advantage to outsmart your enemies.

Content
  • Intro + Tutorial: Meet the characters and find Pasqualdo (the town leader) in the mushroom forest to begin the tutorial.

  • The forest: Get teleported into the forest and find your way to the temple entrance (hopefully alive.)

  • Dungeon Part 1 (Temple): Procedurally generated dungeon with seven floors. Fight alien warriors and lava slugs. Platform across lava. Solve puzzles and navigate to the final floor.

  • Dungeon Part 2 (Caves): Secret caves system beneath the temple. Meet new monsters who are invincible to your weapons. Learn to use the environment to destroy enemies and reach the exit.

  • Boss battle: Located on floor 15. Defeat the boss to find the final pickup and return to the town.

  • Post Game: After defeating the boss, you unlock alternative game modes including B-Side Dungeon, God Mode, B-Side God Mode, Wave Mode, and other secret boss battles hidden throughout the town and temple lobby.

  • B-Side Dungeon: Redo the 15 floors of the dungeon but with new enemies, the lights are out, and all old enemies have been buffed up by one tier (more health, faster movement, new abilities and behaviors.)

  • God Mode Dungeon: Redo the 15 floors but with permadeath. Die once and you need to start again! There is also a time limit! Chop chop!

  • B-Side God Mode: Redo the 15 floors but with both the B-Side and God Mode modifiers active. i.e. buffed enemies, lights out, permadeath, and a time limit! The most brutal challenge of them all!

  • Wave Mode: Accessible in the town after beating the main game. Attempt 30 waves of enemies from the temple, including enemies exclusive to the wave arena.

  • Collect-a-thon: There are over a dozen unique trophies to find to 100% the game. Rewarded for things like beating the different game modes, modifiers, or by solving special puzzles on specific floors of the dungeon. Read the hints on the empty trophy pedestals inside the museum to learn more! There is also a stat boost, energy crystal, and journal to find on each floor to complete the museum!

Note from the developer

Thanks for your interest in Lost Temple Treasure! This is a special game to me -- developing this game kept me going through a very difficult time in my life and I am so happy with how it turned out.

Lost Temple Treasure can be replayed many times with different game modes. Once you finish it the first time, the mechanics become familiar and it is fun to try it again under the time pressure of God Mode and with the advanced difficulty of B-Side.

There are lots of secrets to find and things to collect. If you get them all, or need help or hints, feel free to contact me directly via Discord! I love hearing about people's experiences with my games, and am happy to help where I can to make the experience as good as possible.

Let me know with a review how you go with the game!

Have fun!

Jackson

p.s. if you like Lost Temple Treasure, you'll probably like my other games! Please check out Eco Ronin and Running Robot Man 4 (both are on Steam. RRM4 is basically LTT but with more mechanics and different worldbuilding, and is much more fleshed out mechanically. ER is in early access and is similar and unique in its own way. Thanks! Enjoy!
