Welcome to Gridlock Groove, a rhythm game that even your potato can run.Â
Gridlock Groove is a rhythm game that works with whatever music you already have. Load an MP3, or other beatmaps, wait a few seconds while it listens to the song and figures out the beat, and then youâre playing.
The gameplay is simple. Blocks slide around a grid, turning corners on the beat. Some cells light up with a ring, and when a block reaches one, you hit a key (or click, or tap). A line shoots ahead to show where the block is going next, so you can see the rhythm coming. When you land a hit, the grid flashes and ripples out from that spot, and the whole thing pulses along with the bass.
I wanted it to feel good to mess around with, so there are a lot of settings:
Pick your own color, and the whole grid changes to match
Set the difficulty anywhere from 1 to 10
Adjust the audio offset if your setup has a bit of lag
Change the hitsound volume
Control how many blocks are on screen at once
Decide how close together notes can be before they merge into a single tap
