Fractal Descent is a 2D sci-fi mining and combat roguelite about dropping onto hostile planets, digging through destructible worlds, and fighting your way back out with everything you can carry.
From your persistent spaceship hub, choose a mission, prepare your weapons, drones, relics, and equipment, then launch into a procedurally generated planet with its own biome, ores, hazards, enemies, structures, and difficulty. Each world is a self-contained expedition, ranging from short raids to long descents and endless post-game runs.
Mine valuable resources, uncover abandoned industrial facilities, and push deeper into increasingly dangerous territory. Ore must be processed and extracted before it becomes safe, turning every successful haul into a high-stakes operation. Defend extraction drones, secure portal stations, and decide when to keep pushing or escape before the planet overwhelms you.
Combat is built around varied weapons, drones, relics, and modular weapon modifiers that create unpredictable builds as the run develops. Projectiles can split, pierce, home, explode, ricochet, or interact with the environment in increasingly destructive combinations.
The planets themselves are active threats. Lava, gas, unstable machinery, toxic growths, and fractal breaches reshape routes and turn ordinary encounters into emergent disasters. Dig new tunnels, redirect hazards, exploit the terrain, and survive the chaos.
Extract resources, unlock new equipment, upgrade your ship, and chart a path through increasingly unstable regions toward the Universe Core.
