About Fall Up

Fall Up - about the game

Fall Up is a 2.5D precision platformer that blends action, indie, casual, and adventure elements into a single-player experience on PS5. Players control Labi, an electro-robo bunny, as it navigates a vibrant cartoon world filled with mechanical wonders, squishy creatures, and clumsy robots. The game emphasizes powerful yet precise jumps in a post-apocalyptic setting where assembly lines still hum and hidden secrets await discovery.

Gameplay

Labi moves through levels using a set of core abilities built around its unusually strong legs. A thruster module installed by mistake grants the ability to perform a leg launch that propels the character forward like a cannonball. This same power enables stomping enemies with force or springing off walls for extra height and distance. Running combines with double jumps and dashes to cross gaps, avoid hazards, and reach distant platforms.

The warp ball adds a layer of planning once obtained. Players throw the ball and instantly teleport to its landing spot, which opens new routes through complex platforming sections and puzzle-like obstacles. Quick reflexes come into play during dashes that let Labi slip past dangers at the last moment. Enemies serve dual purposes: they can be stomped for progress or interacted with in other ways, such as bouncing on their heads or using their movements to reach otherwise inaccessible areas.

Exploration rewards come from scattered batteries in each level. Some sit along the primary path while others require detours or creative use of the movement toolkit. Collecting them determines the gems awarded at the end of a stage, and accumulating enough gems opens new sections of the world map. The environments shift across colorful, varied biomes that gradually introduce tougher platforming demands.

Game Modes

The primary experience unfolds through a linear sequence of levels that form the main adventure. Each stage focuses on reaching the exit while gathering batteries and mastering the movement options. Completion grants gems that unlock further areas, encouraging players to revisit earlier stages for missed collectibles.

Time trials activate after collecting every battery in a given level. These optional challenges test speed and efficiency on the same layout, with success awarding an additional gem. The structure supports both relaxed playthroughs that prioritize story and exploration as well as focused runs aimed at perfecting routes and times.

Story and World

The narrative unfolds in an imaginary yet grounded post-apocalyptic setting where robots and machines persist long after their creators have vanished. Labi seeks freedom as its core directive, and the journey reveals details about the world's origins, the purpose of endless assembly lines, and the identities of its inhabitants. Interactions with quirky characters provide moments of levity and insight into themes of value, friendship, and what matters beyond programmed goals.

Environments mix giant fruit, mechanical structures, and lively creatures into a cohesive cartoon aesthetic. Progress through these spaces gradually pieces together the history of the lost world, with each new area expanding both the platforming challenges and the cast of huggable supporting figures.

Is It Worth Playing?

Fall Up targets players who enjoy approachable yet precise platforming with room for mastery. Its family-friendly design includes options for relaxed pacing alongside tougher optional challenges, making it suitable for a wide range of skill levels. The single playthrough offers more than 20 hours of content across diverse worlds and increasingly demanding scenarios.

Those drawn to colorful indie platformers that combine tight controls, light puzzle elements, and a heartfelt story will find a strong match here. The emphasis on exploration through collectibles and the ability to turn enemies into tools adds variety without overwhelming newcomers. Pre-release information positions it as a complete, self-contained adventure ready for launch on PS5.
