BONEYARD BOUNCE! is an action indie casual block breaker game for PC in which players control paddles along all four edges of a graveyard maze to launch and catch a spell ball. The core loop centers on aiming shots that carve through walls and monsters while managing elemental weaknesses for chain reactions and collecting mana to fuel powerful spells.
Gameplay
The paddle system moves every edge together under mouse control, turning the entire boundary into a dynamic catching surface. Players fire the ball into the maze, watch it ricochet and destroy headstones or monsters, then catch it again to restore mana for spells such as meteors, tsunamis, gravity wells, converging shots, and phantom turrets. Up to four of the twenty available magic lines can be equipped at once, and each line scales from level one to five.
Monsters come in twenty varieties, each vulnerable to fire, water, or lightning. Matching the ball's element to a monster's weakness causes the corpse to explode and trigger further detonations in a chain that passes through walls. Capsules dropped during play instantly swap the ball's element, forcing quick decisions on which color to trigger first. Destructible objects number twenty-four types, including altars, censers, coffins, and headstones; smashing them boosts the score and activates secondary effects.
Procedural burial grounds start at 16x16 tiles and expand to 28x28 as players progress through five distinct sites: Whitewall Cemetery, Redsand Outskirts Cemetery, Crystal Ossuary, The Burial Estates, and Verdigris Innermost Tomb. Each run generates fresh layouts. After every stage an event occurs, and a shop appears after each full burial ground. Permanent upgrades are available in both locations. One familiar can be taken along to attack the nearest target automatically. Breaking all summoning circles on a level summons one of five bosses drawn from a roster of ten, ensuring different lineups across runs.
Game Modes
Standard play consists of short procedural runs across the five burial grounds. Players must clear summoning gates before too many monsters escape through gaps in the outer wall, or the job fails. Speed matters because the landlord pays for quick work, encouraging repeated attempts when a build stalls.
Weekly Challenge mode places every player on the identical seed for direct time comparison. Steam leaderboards track the fastest completions. The game includes twenty achievements and supports full controller input alongside mouse controls.
Progression and Upgrades
Ten familiars offer different combat styles, while the twenty magic lines provide varied attack patterns that reshape each run. Events between stages and shops after burial grounds supply temporary and permanent power. Deeper sites grow larger and more complex, rewarding players who master elemental chaining and object priority.
