About Boing Fight

Boing Fight - about the game

Boing Fight is a local multiplayer action game designed for quick, chaotic sessions on a single screen. Up to four players control springy characters called Boings in fast-paced brawls where the goal is to be the last one standing. Matches emphasize movement, positioning, and opportunistic use of weapons that appear during play rather than long-term strategy or complex progression systems.

Gameplay

Each round unfolds in compact arenas where players bounce around using charged high jumps, wall jumps, ledge grabs, ladders, ropes, rolls, and slams. The core loop revolves around racing for weapons that parachute in every few seconds, using them to knock opponents off the platform or into hazards. If a round exceeds 30 seconds, Sudden Death activates and steadily drains health until someone falls. Players can also throw empty weapons as improvised attacks once ammunition runs out. Controls support two keyboard layouts or up to four gamepads, all fully remappable, with bots available on Easy, Normal, or Hard difficulty to fill seats. Local network play and online sessions with Steam friends extend the experience beyond the couch. Every sound effect and music note generates procedurally during play, and the interface supports 16 languages with adjustable text size and optional screen shake.

Game Modes

Seven distinct modes shape the action. Classic Rules follows the standard weapon drop schedule. Fists Only removes weapons entirely for pure movement and punching contests. Weapon Roulette assigns the same weapon to all players each round. Weapon Rain keeps weapons falling continuously without pauses. Low Gravity alters physics for higher jumps and slower descents. Teams 2 vs 2 lets players select sides with no friendly fire. Creative Mode begins each round on an empty arena where participants simultaneously place random platforms, traps, and devices before parachuting into the resulting chaos; dynamite cards occasionally allow destruction of rival builds. A separate arena editor provides over 50 pieces, variable board sizes, backgrounds, and spawn points, with custom creations entering the match rotation automatically.

Weapons and Arenas

Eighteen weapons deliver varied effects without repetition. Examples include a boxing glove on a spring that pulls the user forward with each punch, a spin-able hammer that creates tornadoes, a ricocheting sawblade that sticks before exploding, rockets, grenades, a sniper rifle, a laser, a flamethrower that ignites the arena floor, an anvil strike, a vortex gun, and fireworks. Medkits and jetpacks provide utility options. One hundred fifty arenas incorporate thirty varieties of traps and interactive elements such as saws, ceiling crushers, spiked pendulums, UFO abductions, magnets, portal pairs, catapults, conveyor belts, ice, tar, collapsing floors, balloon shelves that can be shot down, and a giant bouncing ball. Each arena layout changes how movement and weapons interact, encouraging repeated play to discover new approaches.

Is It Worth Playing?

Boing Fight suits players seeking short, repeatable local or online multiplayer sessions with friends or bots. Its emphasis on immediate accessibility combined with depth from movement mechanics, trap variety, and mode options makes it suitable for casual gatherings or dedicated sofa sessions. The inclusion of Creative Mode and the arena editor adds longevity for those who enjoy building and experimenting. No ongoing seasons or major updates appear in current information, so the experience remains focused on the core feature set described. Those who enjoy fast local party games with physics-driven chaos and customizable elements will find consistent entertainment here, while players preferring single-player campaigns or large-scale online matchmaking may look elsewhere.
