"Anonymous Agony" tracks the intertwined lives of a teenage serial killer, Haze Stratos, and child psychologist Dr. James Samson, linked through Haze's sister Clara, a sexual assault victim and Samson's patient. This episodic indie RPG unfolds parallel narratives, with perspectives switching between characters after each chapter, called a File. Players experience Haze luring predators online using Clara's handle for home murders in his first File, then shift to Dr. Samson navigating his patient's fragile mental state.
As Haze spirals toward collapse, Clara moves toward healing, with additional chapters planned ahead. The core loop centers on advancing these story-driven Files through viewpoint changes in this action adventure simulation. Anonymous Agony is an episodic story that follows the parallel stories of a teenage serial killer named Haze Stratos, and the child psychologist, Dr. James Samson. What connects them together, is Haze's sister, Clara; a victim of sexual assault and Dr. Samson's patient. You switch perspectives after every chapter (File), switching to a different character.
Haze (File #1) begins using his sister's online handle to lure sexual predators inside his home to murder, as Dr. Samson (File #2) struggles with the delicate mental state of his patient. As Haze heads towards his own downfall, Clara heads towards recovery.
