When Will Light No Fire Launch?

Light No Fire currently lacks an official release date, with Hello Games listing it as to be announced and estimates from the industry and the team indicating a potential debut by late 2026 at the earliest.

The creators of No Man's Sky, Sean Murray and Hello Games, unveiled Light No Fire during The Game Awards in 2023, yet they have shared few specifics since then. The company has a history of careful timing, as No Man's Sky experienced multiple delays, and Hello Games aims to avoid similar issues. In discussions from 2024 and 2025, Murray noted that the project still requires several more years of development.

Is Light No Fire Available for Preorder?

Hello Games has not started official preorder options. However, certain digital key resellers are now accepting early reservations, without any assurances on pricing or when keys will become active after launch. Those considering a reservation should review the listings in the comparator below and examine return policies, given that a preorder key without a set date might not activate for up to two years.

In contrast, No Man's Sky launched in 2016 at a price of 59.99 USD, though this is speculative - following the success of No Man's Sky, Hello Games might set Light No Fire at approximately 69.99 USD, in line with current pricing for major indie releases.

What Platforms Will Light No Fire Support?

The only confirmed version is for PC via Steam. No consoles have been detailed, but considering that No Man's Sky was released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch, adaptations for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S could follow one or two years after the PC rollout.
