An abandoned school at midnight...
Players split into two roles: "Hiders" and "Oni (Seeker)," facing off in fast-paced, three-minute rounds. Your only lifeline is the flashlight in your hand. Read the shifting light and shadows, listen for sounds, sense presences—hold your breath, run, and escape.
But this is no ordinary game of KAKUREONI -a deadly game of hide-and-seek.
Something inhuman lurks in the darkness—
a third presence that will never side with the living.
This is the story of children, spirited away into the night, struggling to find their way back home to their families.
◆3-Minute High-Speed Rounds – Tense, replayable matches you can experience again and again.
◆Asymmetrical Multiplayer Horror – Two sides with different roles: Hiders and Oni (Seeker), each with unique thrills.
◆Light and Sound Mind Games – Flashlight beams, flickers, reflections, footsteps, even breathing can give you away.
◆Walkie-Talkie Communication – Exclusive to Hiders, but beware… ghosts may be listening nearby.
◆A Third Threat – An otherworldly being roams the map, mixing patterns and randomness to disrupt the game.
◆Fragments of the Story – Clues gathered between rounds piece together the night of the disappearance.
◆Thrill in Spectator Mode – Even after being caught, you can spectate and share the tension with others.
Coordinate with Your Team Using Walkie-Talkies
In Kakure Oni, human players can talk to each other using walkie-talkies.
“Over here!” “Watch out!” — calling out to your teammates and moving in sync is the key to escaping safely.
But be careful… using a walkie-talkie when a ghost is nearby might lead to something unexpected.
Buy Mysterious Dagashi Snacks
Before the game begins, human players can spend their allowance to buy dagashi snacks.
The dagashi sold by the old lady are packed with strange and mysterious effects.
Use them at the right moment, and you can turn the tide of the match in your favor!
Ghosts That Lurk in the School
The school isn’t home to just humans and Oni — countless vengeful spirits wander its halls as well.
These spirits side with the Oni and interfere with the humans’ escape.
Humans can detect spirits using Spirit Sight, but Oni can see them at all times, making things far from simple.
