You've Changed is an anomaly horror game in which you unravel a mystery behind the anomalies. Imagine "spot the difference" but scary. The game features 8-bit era inspired art and rotoscoped enemy animations.
Art Style and Graphics ️
Retro-inspired art style: You've Changed uses a limited, 54-color palette and renders at a resolution of just 320x180. The game is presented at 16:9 and scales crisply to modern resolutions.
Enemies are hand-crafted with silky-smooth, rotoscoped animations.
Gameplay
Over 300+ anomalies across 4 locations - unravel the mystery in story mode or find every anomaly in arcade mode.
5 increasingly devious difficulties - newcomers can increase difficulty at their own pace. Fans of the genre can enjoy extremely challenging difficulty levels they can sink their teeth into.
Customizable jump scare intensity - you can lower the intensity or completely disable jump scares. You can instead enjoy the game as a pure, psychological horror.
(illustrative example only - in-game, there is a maximum of one anomaly per room at any given time)
Fair Anomaly Initiation Rules (F.A.I.R.) spawn system ⚖️
The F.A.I.R. spawn system is a finely tuned balance and difficulty manager.
The system has been meticulously balanced across all difficulty levels to spawn challenging anomalies at the optimum frequency.
Anomalies deal more damage, more frequently on higher difficulties.
On lower difficulties, anomalies "decay" if the player is struggling to find them, preventing failed runs from one unnoticed anomaly.
Anomalies don't spawn when the level timer is almost up, they don't spawn while you are learning the rooms, and they never spawn when you are looking at them. F.A.I.R. is fair!
Reporting-In-Progress (R.I.P.) damage prevention system
The R.I.P. damage prevention system avoids frustrating losses and gives you the opportunity to clutch victory from the jaws of defeat.
R.I.P. prevents you from dying when a report is being made.
Successful reports block damage & death but if you are wrong… you will only have delayed the inevitable
Story
What caused the anomalies? Who or what is behind them? Why do they appear at certain locations? Find the answer without succumbing to their power.
You've Changed features a mysterious story mode and a highly re-playable arcade mode. Notes and extras are available in a separate Lore menu.
