The Features
SPATIAL PUZZLING
Neatly pack tetronimo-shapes next to each other and fill out the available space to maximise their efficiency. Rearrange your city to adjust your strategy, and rebuild your defenses after taking damage from a wave.
STRATEGIC PLANNING
Explore and exploit a mine to gather resources and buy new buildings from a random selection. Manage the shop’s pool of buildings by locking them in place or banishing a building for the entire run.
ROGUELITE PROGRESSION
Choose the next wave you fight. Take higher risks to receive more medals of honor, which can be spent after a run to unlock new blocks, abilities and game modes.
The Mechanics
SHOP
The shop refreshes at the beginning of each day, generating a random selection of three buildings.
The Shop can be rerolled to refresh its selection.
Shop items can be locked to be unaffected by refreshes or banished to stop them from reappearing.
Spend ores to buy buildings, and drag and rotate them into place.
BASE BUILDING
Buildings can be moved around freely, and put away into a stash for later use.
Turrets shoot enemies in their range
Ability Blocks apply an effect to adjacent turrets periodically
Miners collect ores for each tile they are placed on at the start of each day
Districts expand the city above ground, can apply passive effects
Ore Patches expand the mine underground and reveal new resources
COMBAT
After ending the day, hordes of enemies approach from all sides.
Enemies walk towards the core of your base and attack the closest building. Buildings repair themselves at the end of the night, even when fully destroyed.
Activate the abilities of your commander to take control of a tower and boost it's fire rate.
The night ends when all enemies are destroyed.
If the core of your base reaches 0 health, the run is lost.
