Wretch is a story driven thriller set in an abandoned school from the POV of a security officer working a night shift. What seems like a routine call turns out to be something else entirely.
Why was the school vacated with such a haste? What is Project Luminaire? Who killed Bethany Carlington and who is it that's lurking in these dark corridors?
Exploration and puzzles:
Navigate your way through the abandoned school building searching for clues and answers, dealing with the deteriorating environment. Your job is to investigate the area and search for any intruders, but as the story unfolds the hot question becomes philosophical: "Who's the intruder here?".
Dynamic- and non-linear story progression:
The game has a heavy focus on environmental story telling and does quite little to hold your hand through it all. There are multiple ways to progress and multiple endings to the story, with optional secrets / trivia that'll answer you questions you didn't originally even come around asking.
Hide and seek:
It's quite evident you're not alone, can you find them before they find you? Darkness breeds danger, keep your flashlight on!
