About What's The Point?

What's The Point? - about the game
Ever feel trapped in an endless struggle, hauling a massive metaphorical boulder uphill? This indie casual simulation captures that weary grind as a Sisyphus-like journey, blending action with absurd existential vibes. Players face philosophical choices, like dropping the rock or pushing on toward a mysterious monument promising life's purpose. Vignettes unfold in a narrative-driven flow, prompting head-scratching decisions that explore meaning without deep gameplay mechanics. The experience suits fans of light simulation and casual indie experiments who enjoy thoughtful, vignette-style reflections over intense action.

Overview:
Ever feel like life's a never-ending uphill battle with a boulder strapped to your back? Welcome to the club! In this profound (and slightly absurd) interactive experience, you'll play as a weary soul dragging an immense metaphorical rock. Why? Because regular rocks are so last season.

This gem of existential dread was born from the caffeinated musings of our studio's bright-eyed intern. Picture this: while we're knee-deep in FPS development, designing the 47th shade of gun metal, our intern drops the mother of all questions - "What's the Point?" Cue collective existential crisis.

We looked at the intern and said, "You ask the question, you make the experience." Little did we know they'd take it literally. 48 hours later, we've got a philosophical odyssey instead of a shooter. Talk about scope creep!

So strap in for a journey that's part Sisyphus simulator, part fever dream, and 100% indie game dev madness. Who knew our first published title would be less about headshots and more about head-scratching? Life's funny that way - kinda like this game, we hope!
Features:
  • Existential crisis simulator 2024
  • Narrative so immersive, you'll forget you're not actually having a breakdown
  • More vignettes than a French art film festival
  • Explore the meaning of life (spoiler: it's not 42)
  • Choices that matter... philosophically (gameplay-wise, not so much)

Picture this: You're hauling a metaphorical boulder (because why make life easy?), when suddenly - plot twist! - a shiny monument appears. It's screaming "Life's purpose this way!" Does this massive structure hold the answers, or is it just an oversized paperweight?

As you approach, sweating existential bullets, you face the ultimate choice:
A) Drop the rock and embrace your inner Sisyphus
B) Keep pushing and risk a philosophical face-plant

Will you find meaning or just really sore muscles? Only one way to find out, brave soul!
About Us:
Our tiny indie studio is all about fast-paced multiplayer action. Titanfall, Apex Legends - that's our jam! So naturally, for our first ever game, we decided to... tackle the meaning of life. Because why start small, right?

In a hilarious twist of irony, we've created a simple narrative game that dives into some heavy existential questions. You know, just a light warm-up before we get back to wall-running and grappling hooks!

We're well aware this is miles from our comfort zone. It's like training for a marathon by reading philosophy books. But hey, these big ideas have been rattling in our brains, and we had to let them out.

So gear up for a thoughtful journey from the studio you'd least expect. Will players find deep meaning or just laugh at our audacity? Either way, we're calling it a win. Who knows, maybe our FPS will now feature mid-air existential crises!
