Vortex - about the game
Fly spaceships in this retro-styled, physics-driven top-down action shooter built for local multiplayer chaos. Grab pickups by firing at opponents' vulnerable vortexes, then launch them back to wreak havoc. Matches support 2-4 players in splitscreen on PC, demanding at least two Xbox 360 controllers for pure couch combat. Physics handles the wild movement, ditching twin-stick controls for fluid spins and drifts amid vector neon graphics. Eleven pickups mix it up-deploy mines, unleash gunships or fighters, trigger EMPs and nukes, or grab shields and repairs to survive. Indie fans craving indirect kills and customized mayhem through local play will keep coming back.

Vortex is a retro styled physics-driven local multiplayer top down shooter where the goal is to fly around in neat looking spaceships and kill your opponents by making their lives miserable.
How Do I Ruin Their Lives?

It's super simple. You fire at their vortex until awesome pickups appear. You then pick them up and fire them right back into their vortex. You indirectly kill each other.
