You are playing as cybernetically enhanced, armed to the teeth animals inside a top-down, bullet-hell world trying to save your soul. Find items and buy upgrades to increase your chances of reaching the Brainiac, and eliminating him to save your brethren, and yourself.
Tons of unique items provided by the shareholders!
Items can come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but all of them have the potential to change how your run is played. Take for example the Steel Ailerons - they increase your damage based on your current movement speed. They can also have modifiers that change other weapons/items too.
Different animals to play as
Unlock a continuously updated cast of animals, starting with the horse and the armadillo. Choose the horse if you want a beefy unit albeit slow, or go with the armadillo if you want to risk it for a biscuit and become a supersonic glass cannon!
Each run of Void Strife will be very different to each other. The items that shareholders will decide to offer you will be random, and might sometimes even make your run... more interesting rather than better. The shareholders will be like your guardian angels, except they will not be guarding anybody - they're here for entertainment after all!
You first start the game with the horse. The horse is enhanced with a titanium skeleton and a fibre optic nervous system, granting it special toughness against ballistics of all kinds. This is the default character, and there will be many more to collect, like the glass cannon armadillo.
In Void Strife, weapons may have different projectile paths. Some may shoot in waves, some may go forwards and backwards, and some may be homing missiles. It's up to you to explore which one is best and which one you enjoy!
But it's not just about the weapons. You also have 5 other slots to fill up, including armours and utilities. Each item can do vast amounts of things, and an example is the Sanguine Devices, which cause the enemy to explode upon causing bleed on them.
