TorchR Runners: Demastered is a retro, co-op precision platformer that tests your reflexes, sanity, and teamwork. In a world shrouded in darkness, you and your fellow players carry torches that slowly extinguish. As your light fades, so does your sanity. Teamwork is crucial to overcome the challenges ahead, and if your torches or sanity depletes, it’s gonna get even more difficult.
While the controls are simple and intuitive, mastering the levels requires clever cooperation and quick thinking. The deeper you go, the more challenging it becomes, making finishing the game an almost impossible feat.
The faster you complete levels, the more coins you keep – but beware, your coins drain over time. Use them to buy extra sanity or lives at scattered shops, the only safe places in the TorcherR’s world.
The heart of the experience is cooperation. You need at least one other runner to overcome the challenges and move ahead, but the game is open to any number of participants. The game’s shared pool of lives means everyone must work together to survive. Each failure takes a toll on the group – and the sadistic narrator, The TorcherR, is more than happy to mock your every misstep.
