Through Blood and Dragons: Dragon Wars is a third-person, fantasy-themed, on-rails shooter for a single player; players take the role of an archer on the back of a dragon AND the dragon itself through short first-person dragon-breath segments. It utilizes standard point and shoot gameplay synonymous with the genre, with the addition of a snapping 360°view system. The game has several cosmetic options available for unlocking OR for purchase. Furthermore, players are rewarded in-game for interaction with other “The Forged and The Fallen” media.
Story
Over the course of 400 years, since the first dragon was tamed in the icy north of Murgare, the continent of Cimeren has changed. Elven magic and steel once held sway over war, but now dragons reign supreme. As of yet, southern Cimeren has been spared the horrors of dragon fire…
Curik earns his keep and is under training as a dragonsquire to Sir Delstrome of Belvenguard. Their king, Gerraine Dragonblade, has sent them on an errand to Tablu to solidify relations with the king of the Rorenlands. Tensions between Murgare and Belvenguard are on the verge of igniting, and Belvenguard seeks allies against the powerful north.
The night before being granted an audience with the king of the Rorenlands, Curik sleeps soundly…
The walls of the castle rumble and quake. Flames crackle. "Dragons!" Someone yells. "From Murgare!" "The castle is under attack!"
