About Street Value

Street Value - about the game

Street Value is a single-player strategy and simulation game that blends card drafting, market management, and tense evasion mechanics in a gritty New York City setting. Players step into the role of a hustler racing against a mounting debt while navigating neighborhoods, rival crews, and escalating police pressure over thirty days.

Gameplay

The core loop centers on daily draws of six cards from a growing deck. Hustle cards handle buying, selling, hyping prices, and moving product across twelve different drugs that fluctuate in value by neighborhood and recent sales volume. Street cards focus on movement and survival during chases triggered by big deals or high heat. Balancing the two types proves essential because a deck heavy on one leaves the player exposed in the other situation.

Heat builds with every major transaction and draws Detective Hardass and deputies into pursuit sequences where players must reach an escape line using distance and cover cards before opponents close in. Markets remember past activity so flooding one block with product crashes prices there for days while shortages elsewhere create opportunities. Seven neighborhoods each feature distinct layouts for chases and patrols along with their own price patterns.

Players can purchase fronts such as arcades or carts to store goods and launder sales safely while hiring crew members who provide perks but require payment to stay loyal. Side jobs add optional objectives with deadlines and penalties for failure. Random street events like muggings or blackouts further disrupt plans and force quick decisions with the current deck.

Game Modes

The main experience follows a thirty-day campaign ending in Collection Day against one of three possible creditors each with unique abilities. Day fifteen introduces a turf challenge from Rico that can shift neighborhood control. After clearing the debt players may choose to end the run or accept Kingpin's Gambit for seven additional high-risk days that multiply the final score if successful.

Daily and weekly streets provide shorter structured runs with specific twists and dedicated leaderboards. Any run supports custom seeds for sharing exact conditions with others. Five distinct hustlers each start with different deck tendencies and scale through ten heat levels that alter chase and market rules.

Progression across runs involves unlocking and upgrading cards with many appearing only mid-campaign. Connects and secret fusions create additional layers where combining specific cards yields powerful new effects once upgraded.

Key Mechanics and Progression

Deck building evolves through drafting and upgrades that reward experimentation with cash, heat, speed, and muscle synergies. Rival crews control specific territories and demand tolls or grow stronger if ignored eventually flooding markets or targeting player assets. Taking their turf grants unique rewards and expands safe operating ground.

Fronts and crew management add long-term strategy by protecting inventory and generating passive income while side jobs test time management. The market system tracks historical prices per drug tile allowing informed route planning around reported shipments or sweeps.

Every completed run generates a shareable summary showing daily net worth changes, final deck composition, controlled turf, and standout sales for comparison or discussion.

Is It Worth Playing?

Street Value targets players who enjoy roguelike deck construction paired with economic simulation and risk-reward tension. The verified systems deliver consistent variety through card synergies, neighborhood differences, and escalating threats without relying on multiplayer elements. Early Access status means the core thirty-day loop and daily challenges are already playable with plans for additional cards, events, and modes based on feedback.

Those drawn to single-player experiences that reward careful planning alongside quick adaptation during chases will find strong alignment here. The absence of reviews at launch leaves reception open but the documented mechanics and cross-platform support including full controller compatibility position it as a focused indie title for the strategy simulation audience.
