About Sepulchron

Sepulchron - about the game

Sepulchron is a difficult puzzle game set in the seemingly deserted Astor Manor. The puzzles within its walls will challenge your logical deduction, observation skills, perseverance, and real-world knowledge of everyday facts. With a day-and-night cycle, you must balance exploration during both periods: Days of tranquil monotony, and nights of dread and danger, requiring you to use anything you can find to defend yourself from ghastly threats. Discover the secrets that the Manor hides if you wish to survive longer than the 72 hours you have left before you die.

PUZZLES

Using physics as a base, Sepulchron's puzzles go beyond simply finding an item to act as a 'key' to solve them, as many puzzle games do. Found a sword, and there are ropes blocking your path? Don’t just 'interact' with it — swing that sword to cut the rope! Need to press something, but it won’t stay down? Maybe you need to place something heavy to weight it down. Use your logic and common sense to uncover secrets and solve the difficult puzzles scattered throughout Astor Manor.

GAMEPLAY

Ghosts and ethereal beings rise with the moon, and you must defend yourself against the evil that lurks in the dark. Either find and use weapons suited for combat with the best ammunition for each situation, or improvise and use whatever you can get your hands on — a chair, a sword from the wall, or even a teddy bear — to defeat your enemies and survive another night. And a word of warning: These sneaky ghosts change tactics every time you play, so stay on your toes!

ATMOSPHERE

Instead of relying on jump scares like most scary games, Sepulchron builds its horror through a suspenseful atmosphere. This is achieved by the day-and-night cycle, where days are tranquil, giving a fleeting sense of safety, while nights are dark and dangerous, making preparations vital. The contrast between light and darkness also plays a crucial role, with nights being truly dark, making the management of your light sources and its fuel essential for survival.
