SAILORSIM is a sail and motor boating game. You skipper a cruising yacht from its helm station: wheel, gear lever, engine, sails, autopilot and VHF radio. Everything works as on a real boat, at the pace of a game.
What you do
- Sail and motor: hoist, reef, tack, gybe and trim, or let the crew trim for you in assisted mode.
- Berth and cast off at the pontoon, and anchor in the coves.
- Nautical chart to plot routes and follow them with the autopilot.
- Traffic: sailing yachts, motorboats, ferries, container ships and tankers, with collision warnings that tell you who must give way.
- VHF radio on channel 16 and MAYDAY distress call.
- Day and night, flat calm or a tramontane gale with rain and lightning.
- Cameras: outside, cockpit (normal and raised) and overhead.
Missions
- Salou and its coves: the cape, its lighthouse, the coves and the entrance to the port of Tarragona.
- Triangle race off Platja de Llevant against five rival yachts.
- Entering Mahón harbour.
- Passages to the Balearics: Salou → Palma, Salou → Mahón and Palma → Mahón, about 100 miles, with your choice of departure time and weather.
- Navigation chapters: man overboard, anchoring, difficult conditions, buoyage, heading and parts of the boat, with cards, an exercise at sea and a review.
Free mode to sail as you please. Interface in English and Spanish. Works offline.
