In Relapse, you play as Realm, the lone soul who remembers each doomed cycle of mankind's destruction, tasked with breaking the curse through relentless strategy. Take your turn first by drawing cards that represent abilities, spending action points to cast them, then advance to the battle phase where AI foes act with partial foresight on your side. Navigate a procedurally generated world map where environmental hazards shift paths, summon companions to fight alongside you, and tackle 90 enemies across three acts.
Level up one of five classes to unlock cards from 240+ options across five specialized decks, enhance them through three levels and enchantments, and equip trinkets amid persistent negative effects. Earn experience, loot, and permanent talents after victories while adapting to roguelike resets. Strategy fans who relish turn-based planning, deckbuilding depth, and high-stakes risk-reward choices will find a punishing yet rewarding loop here.
Player's Turn:
Player goes first. Draw cards that each represent an ability, use them as long as you have the action points to cast them, then ready up the battle phase when you're done.
Battle Phase:
The battle phase is where the AI executes their abilities. You'll always know what actions your companions are going to do, but only an idea of what the enemy is up to. Hope you planned accordingly!

Environmental Hazards:

Story:
Mankind, cursed to forever live through their destruction, only to have time reset once they've all been killed with no memory of what happened. You play as Realm, a simple peasant, who's goal is to lift the curse. Only you remember what happened between each reset. Learn, adapt, slay beasts, find loot, die, rinse and repeat!
