After ten years of deep meditation, Rishi awakens to a blasted planet. His only clue? A blinding pillar of light piercing the sun - a harbinger of cosmic destruction. Food, water, and even air are running out. The gods have been chained - some by demons, and others by their own indecision. Humanity is dying. Rishi must save his species, but it will all be for naught if he does not stop the "Jyothir Linga", an ever-expanding pillar of light that will consume earth and eventually, the entire universe.
Rescue the gods. Restore the world. Reach the sun, and save existence.
Joth Fading is a souls-like, single-player, story-based, fantasy RPG that blends mythologies from around the world. Journey through two collapsing continents to the rescue gods. Uncover the secrets of the present and the mysteries of Rishi's past, that have been locked away by some unknown force.
Features:
Evolving World - Every god you save will change the world in a meaningful way - the world you thought you had completely explored is no longer the same, one boss fight later.
Constant Danger - Any enemy, from the lowest level wolves to a legendary boss, can spell your demise. Rishi has a scar on his right abdomen - a remnant of days past. Any attack that hits the scar is a Critical Hit and will bring Rishi to his knees.
Combat Styles - Unlock three combat styles throughout the game. Fist fighting, which gives you access to magical abilities. Spear combat, for when you want to fight down those pesky archers. And Staff combat, a mid-range, high damage option.
Choose Your Path - Depending on which Path you follow, various skills and play styles will open up. Defense? Speed? Power? You decide.
Race Against Time - Resources in this new world are scarce. People are dying. Every side-quest you delay could lead to someone's death and change the ending.
Quests - Follow the main quest to unravel the mystery of how this world came to pass. Complete the side quests to rescue it's denizens - human and animal alike.
Multiple endings - Your decisions impact the ending. You can have the good ending... or the Better one.
Trusty companion - Traverse the world with your happy-go-lucky sidekick Bhishma! A start contrast to your stoic demeanor, he'll give some spice to the otherwise bland landscape. But a keen eye may sense that something is off...
