About In Hope Voiden

In Hope Voiden - about the game

ENTER THE ZONE. FACE WHAT REMAINS.

A silent stretch of the front has gone dark. Something happened inside the forbidden region. Something sacred. Something horrific. Whatever it was - no one who’s entered has ever returned.

Now, new bodies are being sent in. Chosen for reasons unknown. Sacrificed without explanation.

In this first person single-player survival horror game of permanent death and persistent consequences, you’ll control a roster of twelve handcrafted characters - ordered to fulfill a mysterious and important assignment. Each individual has a personal mission, unique traits, and only one life. Every action matters. Every failure lingers.

When one life ends, another takes its place. The world remembers. The horror deepens. And piece by piece, the terrible truth about the zone begins to surface in this PS1-era-inspired survival horror game.

PERMANENT CONSEQUENCES. PERSONAL OBLIVION.

Navigate a surreal, war-torn zone twisted by trench warfare and fanatic belief. What was once a battlefield is now a grimdark machine for martyrdom, fed by flesh and devotion.
Every character is an individual with backstories, quirks, and hidden relationships waiting to be revealed. Will you die a coward? Or become a martyr?

TACTILE DREAD. NO SAFE ACTIONS.

Tasks are tense, real-time minigames - manual, interruptible, exposed. Lighting a flare. Bandaging a wound. Forcing a door. Enemies don’t wait. Your mistakes cost you time. And time costs lives.

Persistence permeates the world. Items lost are gone, progress is carried over, and past failures shape the present. There are no second chances. Decisions culminate in handcrafted epilogues to the story, with every consequence and outcome a valid end to your narrative.

A ZONE UNTOUCHED BY TIME.

Discover the truth of a place where war broke reality - where relics of trench warfare and fanatical devotion twist into something monstrous.

Uncover fragments of lore through objects, ruins, and diary scraps. The more you learn, the worse it gets. Observe the forgotten past through forsaken eyes, and uncover how their fates are entangled. What commands them so close to their doom? What are their goals? What connects them to the zone and each other?

NO RESPAWNS. NO RESET. JUST REGRET.

You were sent here for a reason.
They just never told you what it was.
And the only way to learn is to bleed for every answer.

Because in this world, failure is a story.

And every death writes another page.
