About Hunter of the Ming Dynasty

Hunter of the Ming Dynasty - about the game
Conquer strongholds in a vast Ming Dynasty battlefield set during the Jiajing period, where Mongolian tribes and Japanese wokou forces threaten the borders. Players grind through endless battles for equipment drops to boost combat power, aiming to collect the game's ten unique gold gear pieces. Climb rooftops at city gates to unlock a seamless 64-square-kilometer map stretching from the Great Wall to Baoding, revealing over 400 strongholds across 50 levels. Fight with simple jumps and attacks using sword, bow, hammer, or flintlock weapons, leveraging terrain heights and building climbs for advantage. Gear up in civilian, soldier, Feiyufu, Tatar, or wokou sets to match offensive or defensive needs, while adaptive levels scale enemies and loot after each victory. This action RPG adventure suits dedicated grinders who thrive on progression through resource-savvy, battle-heavy conquests.

Summary

The game has no plot, and the core gameplay is stronghold conquest battles, in which the player grind for drops through a large number of battles to obtain high-level equipment and thus increase his combat power. The ultimate goal is to obtain the ten pieces of gold equipment unique to the game.

Era Background

The background of the game is set in the Ming Dynasty during the Jiajing period, when the northern Mongolian tribes were unified and became powerful, and Altan Khan led an army to invade the northern Ji-Liao area, which has been a constant nuisance ever since. During the same period, Japan's feudal secession caused a large number of samurai to go into exile, and they combined with maritime merchants into an armed force, invading the coastal areas, which was repeatedly prohibited, both of which resulted in the border crisis during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty.

Scenery

The entire map covers an area of approximately 64 square kilometers, simulating the ancient Chinese region of Beiping in the form of a seamless large scene. It extends from the Great Wall in the north to Baoding in the south, and includes the capital, the Forbidden City, several passes on the Great Wall, and 20 counties.

The first time the player enters the game, they will need to climb to the top of roof at the city gates of each region and interact with the Viewpoints to unlock the map of that region. Once unlocked, you will be able to see the location and level of each stronghold on the map. The npc in the town can be traded, strengthened and other operations.

Battle System

The game does not have a skill system, the player fights mainly rely on two operations, jumping and attacking, and by jumping can climb any building, using the terrain, height difference, back and forth.

There are four kinds of weapons in the game: sword, bow, hammer and flintlock. Corresponding to the melee, long-range attacks, the difference is that the sword, bow faster, but smaller attack, hammer, flintlock slower, but higher attack.

The equipment value is divided into three types, the civilian's set tends to be normal, the soldier set tends to be defensive, the Feiyufu set tends to be offensive, in addition, the game can also obtain the Tatar set, the Wokou set, and the value is the same as the soldier set, the Feiyufu set.

There are more than 400 strongholds distributed throughout the map, with initial levels scattered from the center outward, from low to high, in a total of 50 levels. Each time a player defeats a high level stronghold, the adaptive level will be raised to that stronghold's level, and at the same time, all the strongholds in the scene will be raised together. Adaptive level also affects the level of pickups and store items in the city.

Players need to utilize various resources according to the battlefield situation and their own operating habits.
