The Place
The hallways of the high-rise feel unsettling. The walls are thin, and it’s hard not to hear what’s going on in the neighboring apartment. Although it’s never truly quiet, it’s not a place that’s bursting with life. Loneliness, anonymity, and a lack of prospects define life. The atmosphere is oppressive. It’s actually hard to imagine that people live here.Â
