About Farever

Farever - about the game

Farever is an online multiplayer action RPG set in a vast fantasy open world on PC. Players take on the role of ordinary adventurers rather than prophesied saviors, exploring the realm of Siagarta through climbing, gliding, swimming, and delving into layered environments that include surface landscapes, cliffs, ravines, caves, temples, and underwater areas.

Gameplay

The core loop centers on open world exploration combined with combat and character development. Players move freely across vibrant landscapes filled with scattered points of interest such as enemy camps, dungeons, and hidden spots that yield equipment and resources. Movement options allow vertical traversal and access to multiple layers of the environment, encouraging thorough searching for treasures and upgrades.

Combat relies on responsive action mechanics where basic attacks combine with blocking, dodging, and ability use. Each class brings distinct aptitudes and skills, while weapon choices add further customization. Hundreds of combinations emerge from mixing skills, attributes, and specializations, creating synergies that suit different play preferences. Group coordination supports combined attacks, protective actions, or supportive roles during fights.

Progression occurs through ongoing development of specializations, weapon proficiency, and gear crafting. Players also learn gathering professions to collect materials and pursue dedicated crafting jobs that provide unique advantages. These systems tie directly into personalizing equipment and abilities over time.

Game Modes

Play focuses on flexible open world activity that supports solo or small group co-op sessions. Adventurers roam freely, tackling world objectives, hunting monsters, and completing tasks in any order without strict linear paths. Instanced dungeons offer concentrated challenges that can be approached alone or alongside others.

Recent updates introduced world events called Rifts, which bring new encounters and regions for players to engage with collectively. These add structured group content alongside the ongoing exploration and combat. The experience remains primarily cooperative, with players able to see and join others in the shared space while maintaining the option for independent progress.

Character Development and Systems

Four classes define starting options: Warrior, Rogue, Mage, and Cleric. Each influences hotbar setup alongside weapon selections, allowing hybrid builds that evolve through play. Leveling advances via world activities rather than mandatory story sequences, reaching a current cap of 25 following the first major content addition.

Crafting and gathering form a parallel track. Players master resource collection across professions before specializing in exclusive crafting roles that deliver targeted benefits. This supports both personal gear improvement and contributions to group efforts through better equipment or support items.

Is It Worth Playing?

Farever launched in Early Access in May 2026 and continues to receive patches and content updates, including balancing adjustments and new features like the Nightling invasion event. The action combat receives consistent praise for its feel and depth, while the non-linear exploration appeals to those who enjoy discovering objectives at their own pace.

Reception highlights smooth mechanics for an indie title and the value of its buy-to-play model at the current price point. Some players note the Early Access state includes rough edges such as optimization variability and limited content depth at launch. Those interested in open world action RPGs with co-op elements, class-based combat customization, and ongoing development will find the most alignment with its current offering. The game suits players comfortable with Early Access titles that evolve through community feedback and regular updates.
